The dogs live with the inmates in their cells, the dogs have fenced in area where they can run. In some prisons they have agility equiptment. The inmates learn how to groom, and care for their dog. The dogs are placed with the handicapped or they are rehomed. The inmates learn a skill that helps them when they are released.
