Rescued dogs from rural area shelters are brought into the prison to learn their basic obedience and crate, potty training. The dogs live at the prison for 2 months and then they are available for adoption. The adoption fee is returned to the shelter that provided the dog. Inmates learn a valuable skill. A certified volunteer dog trainer comes to the prison weekly to train the inmates to train their dog in a positive manner. - Read more
